Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Consultant – Cardiac Anaesthesia to provide specialized anaesthesia care for patients undergoing cardiac and cardiothoracic procedures. The candidate will be responsible for pre-operative assessment, intra-operative anaesthetic management, and post-operative critical care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessment of cardiac patients.
• Plan and administer anaesthesia for cardiac and cardiothoracic procedures.
• Provide intra-operative haemodynamic and physiological monitoring.
• Manage high-risk and critically ill cardiac patients.
• Coordinate with cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, perfusionists, and ICU teams.
• Provide peri-operative management for patients undergoing major cardiac procedures.
• Participate in post-operative cardiac ICU management.
• Manage airway, ventilation, haemodynamic instability, and peri-operative emergencies.
• Maintain accurate anaesthesia records and clinical documentation.
• Follow hospital protocols and patient-safety standards.

Eligibility

• MD/DNB in Anaesthesiology or equivalent qualification.
• Fellowship/advanced training in Cardiac Anaesthesia preferred.
• Relevant experience in Cardiac Anaesthesia preferred.
• Valid medical registration.
