The Neonatal Clinic provides families with a developmental assessment of their High Risk Infant(s) who received their care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Tender Palm Hospital. The clinic provides services to premature infants (<30 weeks or <1250 g) or infants who have a specific condition that is identified as being at-risk for delays in development.

Congenital heart disease is the collective term for many birth defects that impair the heart's ability to function normally. "Congenital" conditions are those that are present from birth.

Our assistance is available to adults with congenital heart disease (ACHD) who are 16 years of age or older. Most of our ACHD patients need to come back for regular check-ups.

Assessments of gross motor (big muscle), fine motor (hand), linguistic (receptive and expressive), and cognitive (play and learning) skills are conducted regularly at 4, 8, 12, 18, and 36 months of development. Along with this, we keep an eye on the child's nutrition, hearing, and vision. Early identification of developmental, neurosensory, and growth abnormalities. Prompt referral, upon suspicion or diagnosis, for suitable diagnostic and treatment services. Provide feedback and quality assurance to the neonatal and obstetric staff at the hospital.

Support of research activities in NICU/Perinatal programmes.

Provide educational opportunities to medical professionals and other related health workers who are interested in this field of care.
