Second chance at life: Musheer's leg saved after overcoming serious knee tumor at Tender Palm Hiospital Lucknow

Mushir, a young man from Unchahar, District Raebareli, had been struggling with a knee tumor for four years. Initially, he managed it with medication, and everything seemed under control. But when he visited Dr. Siddharth, (Consultant Orthopaedics, Spine Surgery, and Joint Replacement) at Tender Palm Hospital, a thorough examination revealed that surgery was necessary.

When Mushir first came to the hospital, his knee was severely swollen. MRI and other tests confirmed that he had a locally aggressive tumor, meaning it was spreading within the nearby area. At that stage, the chances of saving his leg were very low, and amputation seemed like the only option.

However, the expert team at Tender Palm Hospital took a different approach. With the help of onco-physicians, they first reduced the tumor’s size through chemotherapy. This made it possible to perform complex limb-salvage surgery, in which the affected bone was removed entirely and replaced with a special metal implant called a tumor prosthesis.

Just one and a half months after surgery, Mushir could walk again. Now, six months later, he is walking comfortably and can bend his knee and even dance! Thanks to the expertise and advanced treatment at Tender Palm Hospital, Mushir got a new lease on life.

Mushir is deeply grateful to Dr. Siddharth and the entire team at Tender Palm Hospital for their exceptional care and expertise.
