Conditions We Treat

  • Group B Streptococcus (GBS) and Pregnancy: It is a common type of bacteria. It naturally lives in the bodies of about one in four healthy adults, usually in the stomach, rectum, or vagina. For most people, having GBS does not cause any health problems or symptoms. However, if you are pregnant, the bacteria can be passed to your baby during a vaginal birth. Because newborns do not have strong immune systems yet, these bacteria can make them very sick.
  • Pregnancy-Induced Hypertension (PIH): Pregnancy-induced hypertension, often called high blood pressure during pregnancy is a condition that affects about 7% to 10% of pregnancies. It is different from chronic hypertension, which is high blood pressure a woman already had before she became pregnant.
  • Premature Labor: If your labor starts before you have reached 37 weeks of pregnancy, it is called preterm or premature labor. A full pregnancy usually lasts about 40 weeks. When you reach 37 weeks, your pregnancy is considered "at term." Anything before that is preterm.
  • Gestational Diabetes: Gestational diabetes is high blood sugar that develops during pregnancy. With proper diet, monitoring, and treatment, most women can have a healthy pregnancy and baby.
  • Umbilical Cord Prolapse: Umbilical cord prolapse is a serious complication that can happen during labor, usually right before or during the birth. In a normal birth, the baby comes out of the cervix first, followed by the umbilical cord. However, in a prolapse, the umbilical cord falls out of place and enters the birth canal (vagina) before the baby. If this happens, the cord can get squeezed between the baby’s body and the mother’s cervix or vaginal wall.
  • MiscarriageA miscarriage, also known as a spontaneous abortion, is when a pregnancy ends on its own within the first 20 weeks. If you experience a miscarriage, it does not mean you did something wrong. Most losses are completely out of your control and happen because the baby stops developing.
  • Hyperemesis GravidarumHyperemesis Gravidarum (HG), a condition involving severe nausea and vomiting during pregnancy. It is designed to be easy to read while providing essential medical information.
  • ChorioamnionitisChorioamnionitis is a serious infection that can happen to a woman during pregnancy. The name comes from the two layers of tissue that wrap around the baby inside the womb: the chorion (the outer layer) and the amnion (the inner layer). This illness occurs when germs or bacteria get into the tissues, fluids, or membranes surrounding the baby.
  • Zika VirusZika is an illness caused by the Zika virus. Most people only get mild symptoms, but it can cause serious problems during pregnancy. If a pregnant woman gets Zika, the virus can reach her unborn baby and may cause serious birth defects, especially problems with the baby's brain.High-Risk Pregnancy Care.

High Risk Pregnancy Care

High-risk pregnancy care focuses on pregnancies that need extra medical attention due to health conditions in the mother or baby. With close monitoring and timely treatment, it helps ensure safer outcomes for both mother and child.

  • Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)NICU is a special area for newborn babies who need extra care after birth. It supports premature or sick babies with continuous monitoring and advanced medical treatment.
  • Maternal–Fetal Medicine (High-Risk Pregnancy)This care is for mothers who have medical problems or complications during pregnancy. Specialists closely monitor both mother and baby to keep the pregnancy as safe as possible.
  • Special Delivery UnitThis unit is designed for safe and well-managed childbirth, including normal and emergency deliveries. It is fully equipped to handle complications quickly to protect both mother and baby.
